Owen Filer, who was mistaken for a 65-year-old.

The video clip shows Mr. Filer saying to Rob: “Oh, I’ve been here all my life. I’m 100 years old.”

Rob can be heard laughing a little as he thought the army veteran was joking but the 100-year-old cut him off and said: “Yes I am. I’m 100 years old. I can remember the trams looking down there – look.”

A shocked Rob then asked: “Are you actually 100 years old?”

Mr. Filer replied: “Yes,” then continued: “You had to cross the road to get on the tram…” The man really wanted to tell the story about the high street.

Rob, who didn’t want to believe it, asked the vet his date of birth. At this point, he’s starting to look like a bouncer who doesn’t believe your age and ID so basic details were required.

Mr. Filer then replied to his question immediately, saying: “19-10-19 and I tell no lies.”

“You’re 100 years old?” Rob asked once again. “Do you believe this man’s 100 years old?”

Mr. Filer, almost losing his patience to this parrot, said: “I know you don’t, I know, you never will – you never will. Ask my doctor, it’s on my prescription – 19/10/19, that’s when I was born.” He also joked: “Ask my mother, she was there at the time.”
