The World Needs More SUPER HEROES Like Him; Young Indian Taking Up the Action to Revive Dead Lakes in the Country


This young Indian named Ramveer Tanwar has taken up the important action towards saving wetlands in his place.

He is trying to save the lakes and ponds from pollution as well as complete depletion.

He started his journey because he was noticing that the water bodies around where he played as a kid are all drying up.

This had an emotional connection to him, and he started up the project. He started this program by first educating the students of the local schools.

He also told them to educate their parents about the importance of saving water and also water bodies. This was a futile step as the people in the village couldn’t comprehend the fact or even believe that they would ever run out of the water.

Ramveer Tanwar would just not give up or give in, and he took up the job which the students couldn’t do it themselves. Ramveer started reaching out to every house in the village and started discussing the depleting water problems in the world and also in their place.

He made them realize the importance of an initiative in such a situation. He also took the help of the school students to gather the parents at a place every week where the main topic of discussion was awareness of the issue and solutions to it.

The info of his efforts was getting to the government officials, and these gathers started to be called Jal Chaupals.

In the year 2015, Ramveer with the help of the students, their parents and also a few volunteers came to restore a pond in their village completely.

They cleared the garbage and cleaned the water. They also planted young plants around the pond. Later he called up the local authorities and hence the news started spreading.

The news spread like wildfire and people from other villages started to sought Ramveer’s help to save water bodies in their villages.

As a result, Ramveer along with his volunteers have been successful in saving about a dozen lakes and ponds in and around their village. Such an initiative is of great importance in modern times, and these are motivating stories to inspire more people like Ramveer.
