23-year-old Jade Davis suffers from a condition that could kill her at any minute.
It was in March 2017 when she was diagnosed with type 1 Chiari malformation, which causes her brain tissue to slip into her spinal cord.
Miss Davis says she loses her vision around 100 times a day, endures seizures and suffers tremors in both arms.
The young woman, who also stops breathing for several minutes while sleeping, said she has been told she could ‘die in her sleep’ any day.
Miss Davis’ family has set up a fundraising page to help her do things that she wants to do while she still can.
She wants to go to Disneyland Paris, jump out of a plane, and meet X-Factor star, James Arthur.
Speaking about her condition, she said: “Since this diagnosis my whole life has changed, there is so much I can’t do because of it.
“I can’t do what I love the most and ride horses, I can’t be left on my own, I can’t be trusted in the kitchen.
“I cant really do things that a normal 23-year-old should be able to do. Every day is a struggle, and I have to put on that brave face and get on with my day.”
Miss Davis relies on her family as she is unable to cook, work, or even bathe herself.
“I lose feeling in my arms and legs, lose my vision at least 50-to-60 times a day, sometimes up to 100 times a day,” she expressed.
“I get tremors in both my arms, I collapse regularly and have seizures. Every single day my head feels like someone is squeezing it, every day, all day.”
The horse-fanatic was forced to sell her horse, which she described as her ‘best friend’ and ‘whole world’ because of her condition.
“I still don’t think I’ve accepted I have this condition. I think that’s because I don’t want to accept it.
“I don’t want to accept my life is limited and eventually I will die. I’ve been told I could die in my sleep so to me I don’t want to accept that.”
Top of her bucket list is to visit Thailand. She also hopes to go to Winter Wonderland, meet the equestrian William Fox-Pitt, watch an Olympia horse show, spend a weekend in London, and attend the races in Newbury.
Chiari malformation happens when the brain tissue slips or extends into the spinal canal. It occurs if the skull is misshapen or abnormally small, pressing the brain downwards.
