He was 44 years old when he underwent gender assessment surgery. After years of struggling with sexual identity, he decided to have his uterus, ovaries, breasts and fallopian tubes removed, and doctors created a prosthetic penis for him.

After fifteen years, he says: “I’m not meant to be a bloke,” and claims he is not transgender.

Mr. Harries, who tied the knot with Alan before he transitioned, has undergone counseling. Experts have informed him that he has PTSD due to sexually assault he experienced from his father.

Speaking to Mirror, he said: “I wish I could turn back the clock and just have the foresight of what the nightmare the next 15 years would be.

“I’m a woman I’m not meant to be a bloke. I’m trapped. It’s a complete mess – where do you even start? I just regret the decision.

“I’m sure a lot of transgender men feel the same too but I’m the only one honest and brave one to come out and say it.”

He also says that he feels ‘mutilated’ and believes he only underwent the surgery because he thought that if he didn’t have a vagina, he couldn’t be raped any more.

The trauma he had also left him with objectum sexuality, which means he became attracted to inanimate objects. He says that he has developed sexual attractions to a radio and a fishing rod before having a ‘relationship’ with a guitar.

Mr. Harries is currently on the waiting list for an NHS operation to change his sex back as he feels ‘trapped’ in a male body.
