Jasmin said: “Everyone around me thought I was pregnant. It was heartbreaking because I had so many people calling me a liar and asking who the dad was.”

After four months, she had an X-ray in October at Queens Hospital, in Burton, Derbyshire and the doctors thought it might be endometriosis or polycystic ovaries and had no clue what was wrong.

She said: “The doctor just asked if I’d been stressed -because my stomach was swollen. He refused to scan me. I went home heartbroken because I knew something wasn’t right and didn’t feel right.”

In December, Jasmin had a biopsy and a PET scan in Nottingham and within two weeks, she was diagnosed with deadly lung cancer.

Jasmin said she never thought she might have deadly cancer after missing her periods and when her boobs and stomach started to swell.

She said: “I wouldn’t have got through it without her as I wouldn’t have gone to the hospital. I couldn’t imagine myself without her.”

Jasmin’s next check-up appointment has been canceled due to the coronavirus crisis and she is now just waiting to be cancer-free.
