Woman – Who Would Eat Four McDonald’s Meals A Day – Lost 154lbs In 18 Months After An Embarrassing Incident


A 32-year-old mother, from Hamilton, Ontario, would eat four McDonald’s meals a day and weighed 300lbs.

Within 18 months, the fast-food addict lost 154lbs after ditching the junk food.

Kelsey Bonas started gaining weight after marrying her husband Wesley, from Wrelton, North Yorkshire and having three children.

She would eat 4,000 calories a day at McDonald’s or similar outlets.

She would eat two breakfast sandwiches in the morning, two burgers for lunch and nugget meals as a snack.

She weighed 300lbs but when she needed an extender belt on a flight, she felt she needed to change her lifestyle.

Kelsey said: “I had to get a seat belt extender and I could tell my kids, although they didn’t say anything, were mortified I had to ask for one.

That was one of those reality moments.”

She started her weight loss journey and ditched junk food for healthy burrito bowls.

She underwent gastric bypass surgery and now weighs 132lbs.

She can now keep up with her three energetic kids and is enjoying her life to the fullest.

She said: “[The gastric bypass] was the scariest and hardest decision I’ve ever had to make.

I’m now able to enjoy life.

It’s amazing.

It’s hard and definitely not the magic pill people make it out to be, but I have no regrets.”

Kelsey suffered from food addiction and couldn’t drive past McDonald’s without the urge to stop and get something.

Kelsey, would eat 4000 calories a day, now eats one egg omelette with vegetables and cheese and some fruit for breakfast, lettuce burrito bowl for lunch, veg, potato or rice, protein (side plate portion) for dinner, and Cheese crackers and meat, peanut butter and crackers, veggies and hummus, popcorn, fruit as snacks.point 393 | 1

Kelsey says she is happier than ever as her family is very proud of her and she can do so much more now that she was unable to do before because of her weight.
