Jenny Meecham, who is due to give birth to a girl amid coronavirus lockdown, says she will be on her own.

Jenny, who is a blogger and a freelance writer, fears how she will manage if she would have an induced birth or a c-section.

She says if her husband and mother show any symptoms of coronavirus, they might not be able to be by her side at the time of delivery.

Jenny said: “The plan is for Rob to drive me to hospital and the kids to go to my mum’s home. She is 70 – so in the risk category – but healthy and has been self-isolating.”

She was told by the doctors that the safest place for her is her home as coronavirus patients will come into the hospital while she gives birth.

However, Jenny feels she is likely to have a big baby and might have a c-section.

She said: “I’m dreading that because I was told I was safest at home, not in hospital.”

Jenny and her family have been self-isolating for three weeks and she is now worried as her due date is amid coronavirus lockdown and the midwife appointments have also been cancelled.

The only question she has is how she will manage all this alone. The doctors have also advised her to stay at home as it is the safest place for her right now.
