However, medics said at the time that she wouldn’t be able to carry the baby as the baby would fall out without a cervix.

Fay defied all the odds and gave birth to Seren via a planned c-section at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital.

Fay told SWNS: “After recovering from cancer, no one really told me I couldn’t try for another baby without a cervix, so we were really excited when we found out I was pregnant.”

“But when I met with the doctor, they explained that as the baby grew, the moment it got to heavy it would just ‘fall out’ of me. We were all so devastated and already attached.”

“I saw her heart and heard it beat during an ultrasound and I didn’t want to terminate the pregnancy – I didn’t want to give up. I’m so glad we didn’t and when she was born we named her Seren because she’s my star – she’s a little miracle.”

Unfortunately, her husband died of a brain hemorrhage at Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham eight months after she gave birth to their second child.

Fay was devastated after losing her husband but she found love again in her new partner, Ryan Mahon.

“From there we just instantly connected and he has been incredible with the girls. I had surgery last July to take the old stitch out and put in a brand new one.”
