This is a hilarious moment a mother-of-two was left gutted after her £100 cash attached to a balloon floated away.
37-year-old Nikki Walker was so excited when she opened the wrapped balloon gift sent by her mom Carol Walker, who couldn’t make it to her birthday party.
But when she opened the box outside her home, she immediately realized that the helium balloon was not glued to the box.
Instead, a line of £10 notes was attached to the string of the balloon.
The amusing video that left thousands of people online in stitches shows Nikki jumping in a vain attempt to grab the personalized gift.
The last note slipped through her fingers and her cash floated off into the distance.
Nikki’s family were filmed laughing and screaming in shock as the mother placed her hand to her mouth in surprise.
The mother-of-two admitted that she had no idea the cash would be attached to the helium balloon.
“It all just happened in a split second – I didn’t have a chance to react. Everyone was just in total shock watching.
“I was so excited to open it that it didn’t even occur to me that the money would be on the balloon rather than in the box itself.”
She continued: “I felt really stupid at first, who would open a helium balloon outside on a windy day?
“I think that did dampen the mood for a little bit – but what’s done is done. We all see the funny side now – at least we can giggle at the video.”
One person commented: “Look on the bright side, when the balloon deflates….you will have made someone’s day.”
