Guinness Book of World Records is for people who are born with extraordinary capabilities or achieve something worth creating a record for.
Kumari Nayak, 63 from India is all set to enter the Guinness Book of World Records for her with her 19 toes and 12 fingers.
Though she is going to be globally renowned for her fingers and toes, her locals always branded her as “witch” and avoided her on the streets.
Her superstitious neighbours have been trying hard to brand her as a witch as she is about to enter the world records.
Kumari beats the previous holder Devendra Suthar who bagged a space in the world records with 14 toes and 14 fingers back in 2014.
Kumari from Ganjam in Odisha claims that her neighbours have always branded her as a witch and avoided her.
She added that she was born with this defect, and due to financial incapability, she couldn’t be treated medically.
It has been 63 years since she has been living with this condition.
The residents have blind faith in superstitions, and they consider her as a witch.
Everyone stays away from Kumari.
Though sometimes someone comes to visit but never helps her actually.
She added that she is forced to stay inside her home as treated with cruelty whenever she went out.
One of the neighbours, who knows about Kumari’s condition said that it is a small village and people are blind in their faiths.
The neighbour even added that Odish is filled with people having blind faith in such things.
Kumari was born with polydactylism, and it has nothing to do with what people believe.
Kumari has no fund to treat herself and often forced to stay indoors to stay away from the people who look at her with disgust.
Indian government who came to know about Kumari’s condition has offered her home and monthly pension to survive.
They are even trying to spread awareness regarding her situation.
