A series of farmers across Australia have been facing vile hate messages and letters presumably sent by militant vegans amid a natural crisis.

As if dealing with the drought-struck land of NSW wasn’t hard enough for farmers to deal with, many have complained about receiving sinister letters wishing them harm.

In one of the letters that was secured by The Daily Telegraph, the ‘vegan’ wrote:

Hey loser, no one cares that you have to send livestock to slaughter. All the better when you are forced to send your breeding stock.

“If you cannot handle the drought, use a bullet on yourself. You know you want to. No one cares whether you live or die, not even your family.”

As it is believed, the letter was delivered to the affected farmer’s mailbox personally.

Speaking of the “disgusting” letters like this one, Inspector Cameron Whiteside urged the public to step forward with any information that could lead the authorities to the letters’ origin.

“It is extremely important that these letters are not over-handled, both in a physical sense and by not disclosing information to fellow members of the public which may impact the investigation,” the detective said.

“Victims should report the matter to local police in a very timely manner in order to increase our chances of resolving the nature of these letters. Anyone who has received a similar letter is encouraged to contact their local police station and report the matter.”

While the authorities haven’t pointed fingers on any group, the majority of people believe militant vegans are responsible for the vile letters.

“When the milk price crashed, I had vegans telling me to kill myself and my family. That I deserved to die because I had to sell some of my cows to cut costs etc. Seems the vegans are at it again. Attacking farmers when they are struggling is disgraceful,” one farmer wrote on Facebook after the incident went viral.

“If they want to live a vegan lifestyle, fine. Don’t preach, threaten, or be judgemental and cruel to the rest of us,” another one urged.
