Weddings are usually all about the white dress, the vows, and the church.
But many people have different things in mind that they decided to ‘go for all’ for their big event.
A town in Chicago offers brides the chance to tie the knot in a pizza wedding dress.
The pizza company held a competition for soon-to-be-brides, with winners claiming a pizza-based wedding package!
The main attraction of the package is a beautiful and mouthwatering pizza wedding dress. It features a long and delicious train like a typical white gown.
Instead of being white and pure, it is has a highly detailed print of pepperoni pizza. The dress is also paired with a pizza bouquet and the couple will receive a 6-tier pizza cake!
A spokesperson for Chicago Town said that the pizza dress was ‘loosely modeled on Rihanna’s iconic 2018 Met Gala dress.’
So, what inspired the town to have this competition? The answer is a poll of 2,000 Brits. Research found that guests consider wedding food to be more important that watching the exchange of vows, and 2/5 of them said they would love to eat pizza at weddings.
Chicago Town Brand Manager Rachel Bradshaw said: “Weddings are the ultimate celebration of love, but it seems like our obsession with food trumps everything else when it comes to anticipating and enjoying someone else’s big day.
“Our research has revealed that more than half (64 percent) of Brits would be more excited about attending a wedding if they knew pizza was on the menu, so we’re delighted to launch the world’s first Pizza Bridal Package this summer.
“Celebrating pizza in all of its gooey, messy goodness, our Pizza Bridal Package includes a bespoke Pizza Wedding Dress, Pizza Bouquet, and incredible six-tier Pizza Wedding Cake – which features a range of our pizzas and a honeymoon to Chicago!”
