A recent case of animal attack was witnessed that soon took a cruel turn when the victim died 10 days after the attack.
A 19-year-old girl, Adrieanna O’Shea from Tennessee was mauled by a pack of dogs when she was returning home after getting her purse. On Friday, the teenager succumbed to death after struggling for , days.
According to reports presented by the police officials, Adrieanna O’Shea, a resident of Maryville had visited a household in South Knox County on August 23 to pick a purse left behind when she visited the night before.
A resident of the house in Knox County told the police officials that soon after the girl left with her purse she heard O’Shea screaming in terror and asking for help.
Hearing her dreadful screams, the resident rushed to the main door where she saw a pack of five dogs owned by their neighbor attacking her brutally, tearing her and throwing her up.
The resident further added that O’Shea kept screaming as dogs kept mauling and dragging her towards the corner.
When the sheriffs reached the spot, the teenager was already unconscious and profusely bleeding. The body was covered with wounds, debris, and mud. O’Shea was rushed to the nearest hospital where she died after 10 days of extreme pain.
Reports also mentioned that one of the dogs ( black Labrador/mastiff mix) was killed by a deputy during haste to grab the girl. The other dogs ( mastiff, Rottweiler-lab mix, mastiff-lab mix, and pitbull) were euthanized later.
Calling it a freak accident, the owner of the dogs have told police officials that the family is traumatized by the attacks and are wholeheartedly praying for the girl and her family.
At her high school, O’Shea was denoted as the most determined girl by both her teachers and friends. According to the reports, she was planning to go to Walter State Community College and her dreams included traveling the world and becoming a history teacher.
She was into cheerleading since her childhood and loved dancing, sais a source closed to the family.
