Furious parents have accused Tesco and Aldi and other such supermarkets of not letting them bring their kids into stores during coronavirus outbreak.
Major stores have established social distancing measures that include limiting the number of customers allowed in the stores at one time and asking them to remain at least 2 metres apart.
These measures have been adopted after stores have been working hard in order to deal with the rise of customers amid coronavirus crisis.
However, some parents have slammed supermarkets after they were refused entry because they had more than one kid with them.
Some parents complained that they had to walk away without buying anything from the stores after they were not allowed to go in.
Taking to Twitter, an Aldi shopper scolded the store for refusing her daughter and her five-year-old grandchild entry.
The woman asked in her tweet that since when were children banned from their shops and expressed her anger after her daughter was not allowed to shop from the store because she had a child with her.
The woman added that her daughter is a single mother and could not leave her child anywhere like that.
Another shopper added that her friend visited Aldi and had to leave her four children outside the store while they had to shop for essential food items.
Similar complaints have been noted by Asda customers, which is allowing only one person to shop from each household.
One Asda shopper said that while their son is old enough to be left outside, they were concerned about how single parents with toddlers and without family would manage.
Tesco and Sainsbury’s have reportedly employed the same policy where they are not allowing children to enter their stores.
