A budget retailer has released a toy vacuum that picks up dirt while letting kids play around the house.
Kmart has the amazing items for sale at only $25 – a must-have for parents who can finally take that much-needed rest as kids clean up the floor.
Marketed to children 3 years old and above, the battery-powered product works just like a real vacuum, with realistic ‘whirring’ sound and suction.
One parent said: “If this actually works the person who did this deserves a pay rise! Shut up and take my money.”
But some parents are skeptical about the need for a toy version. One parent commented: “Dyson has one of these but five times the price with rainbow balls inside it… but I’d still give them the adult Dyson while you can convince them.”
Another wrote: “I just give them the real one. Get the job done properly.”
While ‘play house’ toys are marketed to young girls, this vacuum toy has a boy on the packaging. One woman commented: “Kmart has a little boy on the box pushing one of the dolls prams also.”
Another said: “I love that there is finally a boy on the packaging of a product like this! Well played, Kmart.”
Someone else said: “I should show my husband… if only there was a box with a grown man on it.”
The vacuum is now getting popular with many customers saying they purchased the item for their kids’ birthdays and Easter presents.
Some parents also said that it was best to “teach them while they’re small” to make sure they don’t become “allergic” to cleaning when they grow up.
