As human beings, it’s natural that we oftentimes get so caught up in our lives that we barely notice the person seated just next to us. We forget that it’s the simple things in life like a small gesture of kindness that really matter.

The firemen in Colton, California were astonished when they realized that an anonymous woman had cleared their bill of $400 at a local restaurant.
Duty called when a blaze broke out over 70 acres near Colton, California, and firefighters rushed to the scene to put it out.
After battling to put out the heavy blaze of fire, a group of 30 firemen stopped at a local Diner known as Deny’s to have dinner. However, after enjoying their meal, their total bill cost almost $400. They had no slightest idea in their minds that their bill could be paid by someone else.

Margarita Hernandez, a waitress at Denny’s who served them reveals that she was approached by a woman who wanted to pay their bill. She says the woman quickly cleared the bill and left in a hurry. Margarita adds that the woman even went ahead and paid an extra $100 to cater for the firemen’s dessert as well.
So thoughtful!
On the other hand, when the firemen saw their paid bill, they were in shock, they could not believe it. They were awe-struck.
This heartwarming simple act of kindness and gratitude by the anonymous woman has got a lot of national attention after the fire department posted a photo of the paid bill on social media.

However, this isn’t the first time someone has anonymously paid for firefighters’ meals or performed other acts of gratitude, but nevertheless, the firemen are always appreciative of such gestures acknowledging that their work in protecting the community is not overlooked. They are very grateful to the people that recognize their efforts and reward them for the wonderful job they do.
This is just one example, but no kindness is too small! Any simple act of kindness speaks volumes.
