Psychotherapist Says Social Media Is Influencing Kids and Teenagers To Change Their Gender


Living in the 21st century, we understand how important it is for a person to be able to come out with their sexuality and to live in the free lane.

Pressuring someone to change their sexuality is not ethical.

Governments around the world have accepted and are on the way to accept it in the legal terms too. This gives an opportunity for people to chose their gender and sexuality too.

But influencing a mass number of people into changing their gender is not the right thing.

To change gender, it takes a lot of understanding for the person. Being influenced for the same is just not right and this is what happens with several young people.

England’s only specialist NHS clinic for youngsters is in a dilemma because a huge number of youngsters are coming to them to get the treatment done. Dr. Polly Carmichael said that the clinic is under pressure to “fast track” children without giving them the proper advice about the same.

The clinic and all the doctors have been under pressure of doing the job that is not ethically correct and that is what forced another director of the clinic to quit. An internal report on the same said that the service was ‘not fit for the purpose.’

Psychotherapist Marcus Evans was forced by his principles to step down after he said that he has a serious concern with what is going on in the world with the name of gender identity.

He said that giving teenagers and kids the instant treatment to change their gender is exactly opposite to what should be done.

These kids need proper guidance on the same and they are being highly influenced by social media to take this step in the first place. They do not understand that the quick solution is not the thing that is needed.
