RSPCA Found Pet Dog In An Unconscious State In Bathroom After Being Abused By Its Owner


A shocking video by RSPCA inspector reveals a dog lying in a bathroom after her owner had abused her.

RSPCA inspectors broke into a house to find an unconscious dog in the bath that had been smeared by its cruel owner in a flash household cleaner and was covered with blood.

Gary David Bell, 50, from Keighley, West Yorks, was arrested on suspicion of beating his American Bulldog Tragic Smiler, nine and charged under the Animal Welfare Act with three offenses.

He is now been jailed for 16 weeks and prohibited to keep animals throughout his life.

When on August 8, inspectors went to Bell’s place, they heard heavy breathing through a bathroom window in the ground floor.

They tried to look into the matter after sneaking through the window they saw the poor dog lying in the bathroom and was heavily beaten up as was blood all over his body.

Bell’s friend let them enter the property and they barely found Smiler awake.

There was a tube of human shampoo and Flash household cleaner that seemed to have been used on her and the bath was dirty.

The inspector went to his house as Bell was already found causing damage to the poor dog such as applying cleaning products and not taking him to a Vet, The dog already suffers from Cherry eye.

After a few encounters with him about his dog Smiler, when they went to Bell’s home with the police they were more worried about the condition of the dog as he was in severe pain.

The RSPCA inspector Sarah Bagley was heard to be in a shock when she exclaimed ‘ flippin ‘ eck ‘ in a video recorded on the scene. She encounters the pooch that is barely aware of what has happened.

The situation went worse when it was found that a corrosive Flash household cleaner was poured into the eyes of the poor dog, and he was found with a bloodied tea towel over her head due to which he could not open them.

Inspector Bagley narraters the situation of Smiler as ” By the time I got there her eyes were swollen and shut”.

Smiler was sent for medical treatment and he recovered under the supervision of a vet in a week.

Bell, however, denied to have done such a barbarous act but was found guilty on December 3rd.

He failed to appear before the court but later he was sent to a 16-week prison sentence after appearing in front of Bradford magistrates court and was liable to pay 121 pounds as a victim surcharge.

While on the other hand, Smiler is doing well, gaining weight, improving her skin and hair and appearing to be a much healthier and happier girl.

Now the cherry eye is being tracked on vet counsel and is living at the RSCPA Sheffield where she is being prepared and expected to be shifted in her new home.
