They are big, fearful and strong. What is a better way to attract people where they can pretend they are fearless of the beast?

This is why Thailand and many other tourists’ places have tigers in parks and other places where they are kept for the amusement of the public.

Following the same, the tigers were relocated but now more than 86 of them have died in the last three years.

Authorities say that the cause of these deaths is a virus that the tigers developed due to the stress they had developed at the time of their relocation. Adding to it, they also said the tigers had a genetic problem due to their inbreeding.

PrakitVongsrivattanakul, Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation’s deputy director-general said “When we took in the tigers, they already had the virus.

We started treating them as soon as we observed the symptoms. The reason for the virus was inbreeding of the tigers and we could not have done much about it.

They were too weak already. Their immune systems were too weak because of the breeding.”

A representative of the temple said that the tigers were nurtured with love in the Temple and they were completely healthy.

He added that the authorities are just trying to put the blame on the Temple now because they mentioned nothing about the virus or the weakness at the time of relocating them.
