People have no clue about what’s really happening in Area 51.
Thousands are planning to storm the famous US military base that ‘houses’ aliens and probably more creatures we have never seen before.
The US Air Force has issued a warning to people threatening to use weapons but one animal rescue center is suggesting another solution – storm their shelter instead.
OKC Animal Welfare wrote on Facebook to encourage people to get to Oklahoma instead of Area 51.
“Come storm our shelter… We have great animals ready to protect you from the Area 51 aliens. Adoption isn’t that far out of this world!” they wrote.
The post immediately received more than 1,000 comments and almost 8,500 shares within a few days. One person commented: “I wept a little inside seeing this post. What a beautiful suggestion. Dogs > Area 51 any day.”
Another said: “Wonderful & creative pictures! You all do a fantastic job in terrible circumstances. Thank you for what you do!”
A third wrote: “Congratulations to your team for coming up with this incredible idea to help find homes for these babies. Probably the best marketing idea I have seen! Great job!”
The rescue center also added a link to their donation page and in only one day, around 50 people have raised more than $900.
When someone asked how many adoptions they have had since the original post, OKC Animal replied: “We had 22 adoptions yesterday, and although adoptions don’t start until noon today, we have high hopes!”
