If you are saying yes to these questions then you must be surprised to know that you can make a career out of it.
Yes, last year Joan Bowell posted an advertisement for the need of a caretaker for the God’s Little People Cat Sanctuary that is located in the Greek Island.
The sanctuary was a home to 55 rescued cats and Joan wanted to take an off for the winters. This is why she wanted just the right person to come along and help.
She received 35,000 thousand applications for the job. Yes, it was a massive number of applications but she chose out the right person for the job.
She chose an American resident named Jeffyne Telson. Telson runs her own cat rescue and has an experience of 21 years of managing cats. The woman says she always wished to be able to help the cats of the island.
The Greek island is a very small place with just 22,000 people and 13,000 cats alone. There are too many cats that have to be looked after but they are doing the best they can.
She went to the island, did her job, stayed away from home for a few months and then came back.
That is when she decided to share her experience on her Facebook.
She shared that although it was the dream job for her, she never really wanted to apply.
She wrote that it was her partner who forced her to apply for the job. She was not prepared to leave her partner and her animals for several months that the job demanded. But on the other hand, she always wanted to do something for the needy and helpless cats of Greek Island.
