An optical illusion has gone viral after people were left “confused” and “disoriented” while trying to figure out what’s going on in the photo.
The divisive picture appears to be taken in a wooded area covered in snow and features a black figure running through the forest.
After the photo made rounds on the internet, people couldn’t agree whether they were looking at a black dog running towards the camera or a backpack-wearing man who is running in the opposite direction.
As some pointed out after taking a quick look at the photo, the dog’s head looks like a backpack covered in snow, whereas the poodle’s tail resembles a person’s head full of hair.
“It’s a guy in a sick jacket and hat running into the woods. I can tell by the gait that it’s a person,” one person wrote on Twitter.
“I looked down the path expecting to see a bear or monster then zoomed back out and got more frightened when I realized,..” another one said.
Someone suggested: “I had to stare at it before I could see it.”
Meanwhile, however, some people couldn’t understand how others could possibly see a human in the photo.
“I’m curious as to how the people who saw a man running were able to explain away the fact that running man has a giant dog’s head coming out of them,” one user said.
