At the back of her mind, she only wanted to get things done quickly. However, she was pulled over by a cop. At that moment she did not know where she had gone wrong. Though the cop was gentle enough to explain her mistake. Actually, she was stopped due to over speeding.
Therefore, when she was asked the main reason behind her quick rush, her answer was simple. She stated, “It’s Halloween, and I realized when it is too late that I have to deliver this carved pumpkin to my parent’s house. Additionally, I was trying to make the process quick, since my daughter needs to go back home and complete her assignment.”
Well, the officer did not reply after she was done talking. And as she watched him walk back to his car, she realized the explanation was not going to save her out of being given a speeding ticket. Though she was glad, she had spoken the truth.
Therefore, when the officer walked back with a piece of paper to her window, she did not bother to take a second a look since she assumed it was the usual penalty charges. But on looking keenly, she realized it was a warning ticket. Happy, she thanked the officer and drove off.
However, when Ayla reached home, she took a closer look at the ticket and noticed something. Apparently, the officer did not give her a warning only but also some kind words as well.
The officer had written, “Thanks for all that you do. You could have spent Sunday alone but you were spending it helping your parents and daughter. Have a good day.
Amazing, right? Well, speeding should not be condoned under any circumstances. But it’s gratifying to see that there is an officer who can understand that sometimes you are simply having a bad day.
