As reported by local media outlets, the authorities were quick to get on his case and ban him from even thinking about using this number plate.

They said that ‘I love Tofu’ was a clear insult or dig to those eating meat and it’s just not acceptable in the state of Maine. But it did not take long for the incident to go viral. And some people couldn’t help but turn this into a viral debate.
