At Least 6 Dead and 2 Missing After Boat Capsizes on Lake Tahoe amid Strong Winds


At least six people were said to have passed away while two remain missing after a boat capsized on Lake Tahoe.

The incident arose at about 3 pm local time on Saturday, when response teams were seen getting a report of 10 people in the water.

They were passengers on the 27-foot gold Chris-Craft boat that capsized near Bliss State Park on Lake Tahoe.

The news was shared by the US Coast Guard, which shared the details as part of the news release.

The vessel reportedly capsized due to the large swell, and six people are confirmed dead, and two others were transported to a local hospital.

The search for the two missing people is still said to be ongoing, as confirmed by the Coast Guard. Their identities were not released at this point in time.

One seasonal lifeguard and ranger rescued two people and placed them onto nearby rocks and carried out CPR after spotting them in the water.
