Nestle Released Luxiously Looking KitKat Gold Edition

Delish

For those of us who are chocolate lovers, nothing beats just sitting back and popping a bit of heaven in our mouths and make our troubles go away, even if it only lasts the length of time for us to chew the treat and swallow it.

For some reason, Nestle’s KitKat does the job quite well. Just snapping off one lengthwise serving of the 4-bar product produces a satisfying crack that can already make your mouth water with anticipation. Then savoring each bite as you work your way through each of the four bars is akin to a meditative experience. No wonder the product’s tagline is, “Have a break, have a KitKat.”

Now, Nestle has upped things up a notch with a thoroughly luxurious looking KitKat GOLD edition that is set to launch in the UK next month.

While the traditional wafer we all know and love is still inside, the bar is topped with a creamy white chocolate topping that also tastes of caramel while the base still has the smooth milk chocolate found on regular KitKats.

A version of this product was actually introduced in Australia in 2018 but only as a limited edition. The fact that it has now made its way to the UK as a regular product will no doubt thrill British chocolate connoisseurs.

The product will exclusively be sold in Co-Op and Nisa stores when it launches on February 3 and will then be released to most major retailers come March 31.

The RRP for the gold-level treat is 85p but stores have the leeway to price the product accordingly.

Each four-finger bar has 219 calories, which is only slightly more than the 209 calories found in regular KitKats.

When asked if the KitKat Golds will taste like Caramac, Nestle replied that people should just wait and try it for themselves.

Alex Gonnella, Nestlé’s marketing director, confectionery for the UK and Ireland, said: “We’ve had an amazing response to the new KitKat experiences that we’ve introduced over the last few years.

“I am certain that KitKat Gold is going to be just as big a hit on these shores as it has been down under.”

Nestle has pampered UK KitKat fans over the past few months.

Early last year, the company came out with a green tea match and ruby cocoa KitKats. Discounter B&M even stocks the three rare flavors which include one that has a coconut taste.

The KitKat Chocolatory was also introduced which gave chocoholics the chance to try nearly 1,500 different flavor combinations in John Lewis stores which ran until the end of December 2019.
