A mother from Pennsylvania has shared a heartbreaking video of herself dancing with her sick two-year-old boy as she might never get to have a mother-son dance at his wedding.

Samantha Duran’s two-year-old son Maddox was born with spina bifida. He has since been diagnosed with epilespy and a cyst on his spine and has undergone 17 surgeries and is permanently fed through a tube.

Last April, his parents were told the cyst growing on Maddox’s spine could kill him.

Samantha was then forced to believe that she might not be able to have her mother-son dance at his wedding as his chances of survival are less.

Samantha then decided to have a mother-son dance and bought her son a little suit with a vest and bow tie and they danced to the song Proud Corazón from one of Maddox’s favorite movies, Coco.

She shared the heartbreaking video on Facebook with the caption: ‘One of the thoughts that I had was that I might never get to have my mother-son dance with my special guy at his wedding because we’re not sure if that day will come.’

‘So I bought a dress. Maddox got a little suit – complete with vest and bow tie, of course – and we did it. We had our dance. I will remember these two minutes for the rest of my life.’

She said the song may not be the perfect song for a slow dance but the lyrics are very true.

She said her love for her beloved son will live on forever and it’s from one of his favorite movies so it’s very important to her.

She wrote: ‘Time is precious. Time is not guaranteed. No matter what life holds in store, I will cherish these memories that we continue to make.’

The heartbreaking video has now gone viral on the Internet and is leaving everyone in tears.
