A 27-year-old mother of two children broke both of the ankles along with tearing her ligaments while attempting for a TikTok dance challenge.
County Durham’s Sapphire Charlesworth was trying at the trending Oh Na Na challenge along with her partner and then she sustained the injuries.
All of us have to do something creative to keep us entertained, after all. The ladies decided to do the same but when they were completing the challenge like various TikTok challenges including dancing to a certain song, Sapphire heard a crack that sounded bad and then she found herself sitting on the floor with considerable pain.
The challenge includes two people standing opposite each other and then tapping their feet together as per the music oh Oh Na Na by Slim Burna. This challenge would not make any sense to you if you are not an active TikTok user.
Several thousand people including footballers and celebrities have completed the challenge successfully but, sadly, for Sapphire, it was a total disaster.
She revealed that she was only practicing and then she went to turn and then she slipped and heard bad noises. After that, she was like a heap kept on a floor.
For Sapphire, the pain had been so much that her partner thought she was just exaggerating. However, her partner picked her up and then the duo was waiting for the pain to wear off. However, they have to call an ambulance.
When she went to North Durham’s University Hospital, she was told there that she had broken her left ankle, badly torn ligaments in the right foot, and fractured her right ankle.
Currently, Sapphire is in a cast and a moon boot and has been told that she may have to undergo an operation to repair the damage fully.
Sapphire then noted that if anyone was thinking of attempting the challenge, they should rather proceed with caution and added that it was not as simple as it looks.
