38-year-old Emily Rosina Evans-Schreiber from England was tasked to take care of her grandmother after the former model’s mum bought her a house just so that someone would stay with the grandma.

Soon after moving in, however, Emily has surprised her family and friends as she started living a lavish lifestyle filled with designer clothes and expensive trips.

Dumbfounded by how the jobless 38-year-old, who once worked as a fashion consultant for Cara Delevingne, got to afford all the fancy things, her mother contacted the bank and the police to start an investigation.

As BBC reported, the mother has found out that Emily had transferred nearly $300,000 from her grandmother’s bank account to her own after she was given control of it back in 2018.

While the transfers were labeled as ‘care,’ ‘bills,’ and ‘savings,’ the granddaughter actually blew the money on high-end hotels, fancy clothes, and cosmetic procedures.

In addition, The Daily Mail reported that Emily gave $27,000 of her grandmother’s money to her ex-boyfriend who is also the father of her daughter.

Allegedly, only around $7,000 out of $300,000 of grandmother’s savings was left after Emily’s 8-month spending spree.

According to the court, the grandmother, Rosina, had never known of her granddaughter’s betrayal as she passed away before the scheme was exposed.

The 38-year-old is also required to take part in an alcohol rehab program and perform 150 hours of community service.

“Do not come to this court asking for a second chance. That is what you have been given with this sentence,” Judge Crane told the former model.
