The husband of a model whose lifeless body was discovered on the side of a road has spoken out.
26-year-old Alexis Sharkey was found dead in Houston, Texas by a truck driver who noticed her body under a bush on the side of a road.
According to reports, she was discovered naked but there were no visible injuries.
Her grieving husband, Tom Sharkey, took to social media to slam the ‘c*** talk’ surrounding his wife’s death.
He wrote on Facebook: “I just want to say this! While some of you were posting on social media helping us locate my world! And we appreciate all your help, Love and support! Others were waisting [sic] time talking about other things. Basically c**p talk!
“And if my wife would of seen this she would be disappointed in your actions! You all should be ashamed of yourselves!”
He added: “I have been assisting the deputies and making phone calls to find out what happened to my wife. Next time…. stop and think! And realize! You don’t know it all!”
Alexis had just moved in with Tom earlier this year after they got married in 2019.
The Instagram influencer’s mother, Stacey Robinault, believes her daughter was killed.
In an interview with ABC13, she said: “I do believe she was murdered. Yes. From what I’ve been able to gather as well as a mother’s gut.”
The heartbroken mother added: “We’re very broken. We’re very broken-hearted. It’s just painful for someone so bright and having so much to offer … just to be gone, to be snuffed out.
“I don’t know why. I don’t know why. The horrific nature of her last moments must’ve been … I can’t even. I can’t even go there.”
Mr. Sharkey said that he has received death threats since his wife’s disappearance and death.
He said that his wife was his ‘everything’ and described their marriage as happy.
