While the experts offered a termination on five different occasions, the brave mother decided to go through with the pregnancy. In 2012, she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Noah Wall.

When Noah was born, he only had 2% of his brain and the family was worried about his development. Over the span of several years, however, Noah’s brain miraculously kept on growing and so did the boy.

At the age of three, the boy’s brain has already developed to 80% capacity, and at the age of six, the boy is already able to talk. The 6-year-old fighter is now hoping to master walking, skiing, and surfing!

Speaking of her son’s extraordinary progress, the proud mum said:

“It’s a very emotive subject. Some people say you can’t grow a brain. Other people say it must have always been there. But if it was and squashed up it would have been so severely damaged he would have been very mentally and physically disabled.”

Ms. Wall also recalled the instances when she was approached by doctors who advised her to abort.

“Before he was born they gave me the option of a termination five times,” Shelly said.

When the mother appeared on Good Morning Britain together with her son, the host asked her why she and her partner were so determined to go with the flow despite massive complications.

“We were older parents if younger people were offered that choice they may have felt pressured to go through with it, but we know our own minds and we are positive people,” Wall replied. “We wanted to give Noah the chance of life.”
