U.S. Military Has Set Quarantine for Troops Returning From China in South Korea


The Military Command of the US in South Korea has announced to set self-quarantine for the troops returning from China or who has recently been to China after the outbreak of the infection that has infected thousands around the world.

The quarantine is being set to protect the readiness of the military form the infection.

United States Forces Korea said in their statement that till now they have not found any troop arriving or being to the state where the epidemic has hit the hardest but still being on the safer side the quarantine has been set just for precaution.

Although the newly established policy applies only to the military officers and personnel but the forces have suggested the family of the military personals, contractors, Defense Department civilians and everyone else takes similar steps as a prevention method from the outbreak.

In another statement coming out of the USFK, the head of the forces said that although there is a very low chance of the infection entering the forces they are still monitoring it very closely to be safe and sure.

“We must be in the best health to fight the enemies in case a fight breaks out tonight.”

On Sunday the total number of people infected with the virus turned 15 as three new cases were confirmed and 87 other people are being tested for the same after they had shown possible symptoms.

By the end of Saturday, the number of people dead with the virus reached 304, jumping 45 numbers in a single day as per a report on Sunday.
