It was in early February when the 21-year-old traveled to Oregon from Washington and secretly moved into the girl’s room by hiding in a cavity under her bed, said Assistant US Attorney Jennifer Martin, according to OregonLive.com.

Cavasos sometimes hid in the victim’s closet.

On February 25, the girl’s grandfather first saw the stranger in the house and ordered him to get out of their property. However, he sneaked back into the child’s bedroom and stayed hidden until March 11, when he was discovered again and arrested.

Police also searched his phone and discovered disturbing videos showing him and his victim.

But a judge agreed to release the assailant to a sober living facility where he will stay under GPS monitoring and a curfew until the trial.
