An air force veteran collapsed live on air after finding out the true value of the watch he purchased for $350 around 40 years ago.

The owner of the watch said he purchased it mail order through a military base exchange way back in 1974 while he was serving in the military.

The Rolex is still like brand-new as the man didn’t wear it around as he felt it was too beautiful. This means that the precious item has just been kept in a safe deposit box and only brought out when he wants to look at it.

Because it was never worn, the watch still has a sticker on the back with a reference number. It also comes with its original paperwork and box.

And by the way, the watch’s reference number, 6263, is a special model and highly desired by watch collectors! It is considered the grailiest of grails!

Peter Planes from Luxe Auctioneers said to the owner that “a watch like this, at auction, is worth about $400,000′, which was enough to leave the vet reeling, before Planes added that because this particular watch was unworn it could fetch even more at auction – between $500,000 to $700,000 to be exact.”

The watch owner replied: “You gotta be s******* me.”
