The ex-wife of CEO Jeff Bezos recently announced something massive. She has pledged to give away half of her shares at Amazon to charity.
Apparently, she is not the only one who has taken such a step. Other billionaires like Bill, Warren Buffett, and Melinda Gates has also donated their properties and possessions.
The initiative was started by Gates and Buffett where a millionaire has to either give away or donate half of their possession to the charity.
Mackenzie Bezos’s ex-husband Jeff is the wealthiest businessman in the world as per his present worth which is $131b and he has achieved it all out of his mega empire of Amazon.
She wrote out an open letter where she said that she has no doubt that the best decision of giving away is made in an impulse and it seems great when it is going to the community services.
She wrote that there are hundreds of things that people can give away for services like attention, time, patience, knowledge, talent, creativity, compassion, effort, and humor.
She said that it happens naturally that every time we give, something great is mandatory to happen. Even if not to us, to someone for sure.
These results are a part of the beginning and if we continue to give, there will be more and more satisfaction and relief in mind and life.
