Lava Gushing Out From The Volcano In Philippines Forced Thousands To Flee For Safety


On Monday, red hot lava was seen spewing out of the Philippines volcano, after there was a sudden eruption of steam and ash that made thousands of residents to flee from that area.

Lava was pouring out like water into the lake, that surrounded the Taal volcano in the Philippines.

The columns of ash went 9 miles into the sky and also reached 60 miles north towards the city of Manila. The city immediately shut down all its airports and canceled the flights as well.

However, there were no casualties or people missing were reported, but about over 6,000 locals living near the Taal mountain region were evacuated.

The volcanic island situated between the lake is known to be a popular tourist destination. Further reports and pictured showed lightning in the smoke with the series of earthquakes that kept shaking up the location.

The authorities gave out a word of warning saying there might be more eruptions, which may cause tsunami.

According to the volcano monitoring authorities, the explosion took place due to the super-heated rock and steams on Sunday.

However, on Monday, fountains of lava were seen spewing out from the volcano.

The lightening over the Taal volcano gave rise to the phenomenon of static electricity. However, the volcano agency has increased the danger level to 4 from 1, which shows an imminent hazardous eruption can take place at any time.

Renato Solidum, the head of the volcano agency, said the lava that was pouring out served as a proof of showing the fresh movement of the volcano.

Furthermore, scientists, on the other hand, has recorded the movement of the magma rising slowly towards the crater which is 45 miles away from the city of Manila, Philippines.

The local police have reported saying over 13,000 villagers were evacuated and given shelter in the province of Batangas and Cavite region.
