Ear infections can be a major reason why someone makes an uncountable number of trips to the doctor as a child.
Luckily, most of the ear infections are never too serious to defeat the available medication. Most of such infections are easy to treat and never cause a threat to human life.
Tragically, kid’s last goodbye kiss to his mother just before she passed on all started with an ear infection which advanced. A woman by the name Imogen Petrack was in her 36th week of pregnancy in July 2017 when the unexpected happened.
Her son named JB was just 17-months of age. Imogen and her beloved husband John Petrak both served in the ministry of Lifehouse Christian Church, and they did it with all their heart and passionately.
She found herself in the hospital beds not because she was experiencing a labor pain, but because of the ear infection which became so severe. No one expected that not even her doctors could explain what was happening.
Unfortunately, the normally not too serious ear infection had spread to the brain causing brain damages which were characterized by swelling and unbearable pain.
Imogen described herself in her Facebook page as a woman who is a mother, a wife, and a Christian. Even at her point of death, she exemplified herself with regards to the mentioned roles.
One of the last actions which happened just before Imogen passed on was receiving her daughter into the world. Those moments left a long-lasting impression on those who witnessed them. Her husband, John, will live to remember them more than anyone else.
Baby Eleanor Lillian Joy was just lucky to be born safely through an emergency cesarean section which was performed by the specialists.
The newborn was born four weeks before the expected day and required great care in the NICU she was to remain alive. However, she was safe and sound, and her dad’s opinion on her appearance was that she took over her mom’s lips, ears, and hairs as was stated on the GoFundMe page created for the family.
Imogen passed on hours later from the ear infection which had developed many complications. At the point of death, a photograph was taken showing the toddler’s goodbye action to her.
He was moved in as his mother’s health deteriorated significantly and showed all signs of her life leaving her. The pain, grief, and shock that the family experienced were just unimaginable. It was the darkest hour of their family life.
Paul still held on to the hands of God when he found himself in a situation that he had never imagined in his entire life. He was left with an infant to take care of, and raise him all alone. The pain that weighed heavily on him was unbearable. He lost his wife way too soon, and now a toddler who probably doesn’t even realize that he is already in the world. However, he still had the heart to share on Facebook stating that the Bible’s teachings have it all covered.
“Should we only be happy when receiving good things from God and be sad when bad things come our way? In the meantime, he gives his promise to always be on my side even during hard times of storms and his promise has remained to date,” Paul wrote.
The tragic incident that John experienced was best described on the GoFundMe page as “unthinkable,” which it is in many different ways.
Remarkable, Paul has stood firm amidst the tragedy and remained focused on God and his promises. That has allowed the widowed father to get consolation and feel at peace in pain.
We should remain firm regardless of what comes our way just as John did to overcome his situation.
