Seriously, who can remember when they were young and living on their own for the first time with no idea how to cook (or didn’t have time to cook)? Cereals were one of the lifesavers during those times.
There are many types of cereals but for Australians, Coco Pops is certainly an old classic that is among the top of the list. Still, sometimes it’s good to change things up a little and that’s what Kellogg’s is planning to do.
Last year, Kellogg’s launched its infamous white chocolate Coco Pops in the UK. It was a huge success and the company wants to hopefully duplicate that success in Australia.
Kellogg’s ANZ Coco Pops Brand Manager Derek Lau said: “In response to our fans, and the growing desire for white chocolate varieties of popular foods, we wanted to see if it was possible to create a white choc flavored Coco Pops that tastes as good as the original.
“Our food developers have paired the simple goodness of puffed rice with a delicious white choc flavor. Using caramel and marshmallow milk notes, we have created a unique Coco Pops taste inspired by the sweet sensation of crème Brulee and panna cotta.”
“Whether it’s over breakfast watching Saturday morning cartoons or as a fun afternoon snack, Australians can make new Coco Pops memories with the new White Choc Flavour.
“We also can’t wait to see what new recipe creations Coco Pops lovers create – White Choc Crackles anyone?”
People who have managed to taste-test the new flavor say that it’s a novel take on an old classic. More importantly, they liked it.
One person wrote on social media: “Coco pops white chocolate: Nicest cereal about.”
Another added: “White chocolate coco pops actually bang.”
You should start seeing the new flavor on the shelves of Woolworths and Coles this month, priced at $5.40.
