We all love Keanu Reeves not just because he is a great actor (which he is, no doubt), we love him for being a great person as well.
There have been countless instances in the past which showed how fine a man Keanu is. And now, another amazing story about him is going viral online.
A fan, James Dator, has recently revealed how the megastar bought an ice cream just to give him his autograph.
Taking to Twitter, Dator, who is a writer at sports blogging network SBNation, wrote: “In honor of John Wick 3 I have a Keanu Reeves story.”
The guy didn’t give away much information in his first tweet and revealed the amazing incident in a now viral thread.

“Keanu came to the movie theater I worked at in Sydney in 2001,” Dator tweeted. “He was working on the Matrix series at the time. It’s a quiet, Wednesday morning – almost nobody is seeing movies.”
Dator said he couldn’t recognize Keanu at first.
“I’m working the box office, bored as hell and suddenly this dude walks up in jeans, a leather jacket and a horse riding helmet,” he wrote.
“A full ass, weird equestrian looking helmet. It takes me a solid 30 seconds to ignore the helmet and realize it’s Keanu Reeves.”
The Matrix star wanted to purchase a ticket for Johnny Depp’s movie “From Hell.”

When Dator tried to give his employee discount to Keanu so as to get his autograph in return, the actor declined the offer saying he didn’t work there.
“‘I don’t work here,’ Keanu says. Seemingly confused by my offer. I’m flustered and just charge him the normal price. Kicking myself after for not getting his autograph,” Dator wrote.
However, Keanu returned two minutes later, just to give his autograph to the then 16-year-old.
Dator tweeted: “2 minutes later there’s a knock on the door behind me that leads into the box office. I assume it’s my manager. It’s Keanu.
“‘I realized you probably wanted my autograph,’ he says. ‘So I signed this.’
“He hands me a receipt from the concessions stand that he signed on the back. He then casually throws an ice cream cone in the trash can and sees his movie.”

Turns out, Keanu bought an ice cream cone so that he can get a receipt to give an autograph.
“I realize later that he bought an ice cream cone he didn’t want, just to get receipt paper so he could scribble his autograph for a 16-year-old idiot,” Dator tweeted.
His story inspired other internet users to share their own stories.
Replying to Dator, Twitter user Chris Harihar wrote: “Keanu 4ever. Saw this man sitting on a fire hydrant in NYC. A fucking fire hydrant. & he looked cool doing it.
“Mustered the courage to speak to him as he’s getting up & he was the nicest guy on the planet. Let me take 2 selfies because my hand was shaking too much the first time.”
