Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) was recently accused of having an affair with Tim Mynett who is a married man.
She was further accused of funneling huge amounts of money to through her campaign.
Dr. Beth Jordan Mynnet said her cheating husband Tim told her in April that he had an affair with the U.S. representative.
He even made a declaration of love for the Somali-born Minnesota congresswoman before ditching her. This was reported in the divorce filing in DC Superior Court on Tuesday.
The documents say that Tim and Jordan were physically separated on April 7th, 2019, when Defendant told Plaintiff that Tim was in love with another woman, Ilhan Omar.
It was further revealed that the thirty-seven-year-old and mom of three, Ilhan Omar, paid Tim and his E. Street Group close to $230,000 through the congresswoman’s campaign for fundraising consulting, internet advertising, digital communication, and travel expenses since 2018.
Investigative reporters Luke Rosiak and Jordan Schachtel both commented on the financial disclosures put up in the report.
Schachtel tweeted sarcastically that there is no corruption there. Rosiak tweeted that Representative Duncan Hunter (R-CA) who is also being criminally prosecuted and imprisoned for using campaign funds to meet the expenses of extramarital affairs.
He ended with a question asking what Minnesota U.S. Attorney will do about it.
Another investigative reporter, David Steinberg, noted that Ilhan had allegedly entered the couple’s house while the wife was away and questioned her moral judgment.
This comes after the news that Omar had broken up with her second husband last month, raising the controversy regarding her marital history. Critics are demanding answers to whether Omar had married her own brother to bring him to the U.S.
According to the reports Omar has now split with Ahmed Hirsi, her current husband, after marrying him in 2002 in a religious ceremony and divorcing him in 2008.
