This place contains everything a traditional house would, starting from a living area, bathroom to a full-sized kitchen.

The couple was highly inspired by the increasingly popular ‘tiny house movement’ and wanted to create their dream project for a long time. With max’s expertise in architecture, they decided to move to the Blue Mountains, located to the western side of Sydney in early December.

There they decided on how this project would look and spent three months building it. The house itself measures 2.5 meters in breadth and is 9 meters long with a height of 4.3 meters.

Located in the secluded area they bought together in July last year, they have ensured everything to make their home spacious, practical and packed with whatever they need, be it in terms of entertainment or saving electricity.

During an interview, Lisa said that the compact size of the home provides them with a lot of benefits one can only dream of. To start with, it takes more or less half an hour to clean, and the lack of space further promotes their minimalistic way of living.

Lisa further added that even after using whatever appliance they need, like the air conditioner and television, the bills are tiny. This is mainly because of the solar panels they installed. They have effectively saved up to $2,000 on electricity a year.

Other amenities like water are also cheap and take up about $140 of their budget. However, planning all this was not easy. Before building the house, they had to make proper note of how much electricity they need and water they consume on a regular to efficiently build a plan that suffices their usage.

The property, measuring 22 square meters on the lower floor and 10 on the upper has been decked out with all the modern amenities one might require.

To save some space, they have mindfully placed some utility appliances like the fridge and oven under the stairway. This was a dream of Lisa’s for the longest time, and both Matt and she are very happy that they have finally made it come true.
