According to the reports, the mother was relaxing by the poolside when a hotel worker approached her and questioned her about her room. She then allegedly also called the police on the family.

After the officers arrived at the scene and Williams-Wright began recording the exchange, the mother suggested she’s being discriminated against.

To prove that she’s staying at the hotel and paying for her room, the mother took out her room key and showed the card to the officers. After they asked for her name, however, she refused to comply saying she knows her rights.

“I don’t need to give my name. I didn’t break the law. I know the law,” she said.

After arguing with the police officers whom she accused of being ‘racist’ for judging her before asking her proper questions, the mother went back to her hotel room where she was once again confronted by the same hotel employee who alleged that she was told by her manager that Williams-Wright should share her information.point 419 | 1

Following the incident and the footage going viral, Hampton by Hilton responded to confirm that the employee has been fired and that their business “has zero tolerance for racism or discrimination of any kind.”

“We have apologized directly to the guest and her family for their experience, and will work with them and the hotel to make this right,” the statement read.
