Do dreams come true and you get paid for it? Well, if you’ve ever dreamt of living in the Buckingham palace, then yours will because Queen Elizabeth is looking for a “Liveried Helper” for the palace horses.
The successful candidate will not only live in the palace quarters, but will also draw an annual income of 22.4k Euros.
The royal palace recently released this vacancy which is for a full-time position for someone who is ready to take up the responsibility of the queen’s convoy. They will have to indulge in the upkeep and daily care of the animals at the Royal Mews.
Not everyone can apply for the post since it requires the candidate to exercise the horses, train them, and keep them fit for the ceremonial activities that they have to take up every once in a while.
Apart from the upkeep and training of the horses, the responsibilities include keeping a track of the stable supplies such as harnesses and saddlery.
And one cannot possibly take care of the horses if they cannot ride it themselves. Therefore, only the candidates who can ride horses, have a knack for equine, and can manage carriages are expected to apply.
They should ensure that the horses are ready to deliver on the world stage.
The 93-year-old Queen Regnant is certainly a patron of horses, since the Royal Household is known to own world-class horses as well as several Fell Ponies at the Windsor Castle.
The Royal Household Website is accepting applications for the position. So, if you have the knack of looking after the Queen’s beloved horses, along with the skills mentioned above, you should go ahead and drop in an application.
