A dog named Benji had been homeless his whole life until Hope For Paws received a call about him.
When they received the call, Eldad Hagar and Lisa Chiarelli went to see him.
When they saw Benji, they realized he was living his worst life. He was badly matted and was covered with ticks and fleas.

He was so terrified when they tried to touch him. Eldad Hagar recalled: “When Hope For Paws received the call about him, I asked Lisa Chiarelli to join me. Benji was very nervous, and when he realized that we were looking at him, he started running, and we started running after him!”
“It was a little tricky because I had to keep an eye on him while running, and at the same time I had to set up my gentle snare AND keep my handheld camera straight – you’ll just have to see how I managed all that.”
Benji had been living on the streets all his life and human contact was so hard for him.
After 2 or 3 hours of grooming and medical care, they took him to Lisa Chiarelli’s house where he spent 10 days without moving. He was always trying to hide and didn’t want anyone to touch him.
Eldad said: Lisa’s Pit Bull mixes – Lola and Frankie, decided to help Benji overcome his fears, and the result will make you so happy!!!”

Benji is now living a happy life with six other rescued dogs. His transformation is incredible.
