A Football League Put A ‘Thin Blue Line’ In Their Uniforms To Show Support For Police Officers


A Harrisonville youth football league in Missouri incorporated the thin blue line into their uniforms this year to show their support to local law enforcement officers.

According to Oxford, ”The thin blue line holds the frontier between chaos and civilian life, between crime and the American dream.”

The symbol has become more renowned as the Blue Lives Matter movement, it began in 2014 and has gained popularity across the nation.

Since then people display ‘Thin Blue Line’ flag as a way to show their support for police officers. At the beginning of the fall season, new jerseys are designed by players on the seventh-grade team.

John Baker, president of the league told Wester Journal: “We started 4 years ago allowing a group of the 7th-grade boys help give design ideas. Then the coaching staff of that grade gives them 3 choices based on their ideas.”

Harrisonville Missouri Police Department posted the picture of the league’s new jerseys and thanked them for the support in a Facebook post.
