Country singer Hank William Jr.
’s daughter, Katherine Williams-Dunning, passed away at the age of 27 after her car crashed and rolled over on Highway 79 in Henry County, Tennessee.
According to reports, Katherine was driving a 2007 Chevy Tahoe when the vehicle suddenly crossed the center median and rolled over.
Katherine passed away shortly after the incident. Her 29-year-old husband, Tyler Dunning, was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The extent of his injuries hasn’t been disclosed but he is still the hospital and responsive, a family member said.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
A spokesperson with The Paris-Post Intelligencer said: “This is an active investigation and more details will be made available later.”
Katherine is the youngest daughter of Williams. Jr and his third wife, Mary Jane Thomas. She tied the knot with Tyler Dunning in 2015 and has two children, 5-year-old Beau and 2-year-old Audrey.
The couple runs a clothing line called Weston Jane.
A recent photo posted on Katherine’s Instagram page showed the family having fun at a Florida beach. “Take 1 & Take 2 & Take 3 at a family beach picture,” she wrote.
“These days are wild with a 2 and 5 year old! In January this year, I decided to be more present and be more peaceful in all aspects of life.
“These kids will not pose for a picture but as long as they are having fun and feeling loved by mom & dad, surely we are halfway doing this parenting thing right!”
Another post shows a throwback picture of Katherine and her father in celebration of his birthday. “A throwback to show y’all that I have always been a daddy’s girl,” she wrote in the caption.
“My birthday to my Daddio, my hero! The lessons you have taught me in this life are by far some of the most precious gifts that I will ever receive!”
