Prison Guards Caught An Inmate Who Disguised Himself As His Daughter To Flee Jail

Attempts of running away from prison are as old as the concept of prisons themselves.

We’ve seen examples of prison break which were so neatly done that the inmate left no trace behind, and there have also been cases of the poor devils failing and being sent back to the same place with a couple of more years for attempting to run away.

But the case we’re seeing here is really one-of-its-type. In what we can safely call was a failed jailbreak attempt, the guards at a Brazilian prison caught an inmate dressed up as a woman to flee the jail.

The jail staff noticed something peculiar about the ‘woman’ going out of the jail and stopped ‘her’ only to find out it was actually an inmate disguising as his daughter to run away.

The prisoner, a drug trafficker, was wearing a wig, a borderline acceptable mask, and clothing that could hardly be counted as feminine.

The guards at the Bangu penitentiary, where this whole drama unfolded, noticed something wrong with the face of the ‘woman.’

When they asked the escaping man to take down the camouflage layers, they found out who he was.

As the layers unfolded, the guards were shocked to see Clauvino da Silva, because the man was totally different from what he had become with all that make up and clothing.

Clauvino, nicknamed ‘baixinho,’ or sometimes called shorty, is a member of the Red Command – one of the biggest crime groups functional in Brazil.

Upon investigation into the failed attempt at fleeing, it was revealed that the clothing was from Clauvino’s daughter and he was hoping to escape disguising as her, but alas for him, he had a bad day.

If you are thinking that was a poor attempt at escaping from jail, let’s look into an even poorer one.

A group of Argentinian prisoners tried to dig their way out of jail, only to end up in a dog kennel.

According to the reports of an Argentinian media agency, the inmates spent two days to dig a tunnel out of Florencia Varela Penitentiary in Buenos Aires.

The path they built to reach the tunnel, through which they wanted to escape, was 3 feet in diameter and 5 feet in depth. They hid their ‘project’ from the eyes of the guards by covering the hole with a plywood sheet under sawdust.

Sadly, for the inmates, they took a wrong turn during their digging path and didn’t end up where they intended.

The ‘project’ was discovered by the jail guards during a routine inspection. Footage has been released by the jail authorities showing the size of the hole the criminals dug to escape.
