Granola Bars Help The Rescue Team to Find the Two Lost Sisters Who Went Missing for 48 Hours


California police confirmed the finding of the two girls who had gone missing for the last two days.

The two young sisters were last seen in Benbow, Sacramento outside their house at 2:30 p.m on a Friday.

Caroline Carrico, 5 and her elder sister Leia Carrico, 8 got lost from everybody’s sight and ended up vanishing into an isolated wooded area near their home.

Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, this Sunday made a statement that the two kids have been found. The two girls spent nearly 48 hours in the woods. William Honsal, the sheriff, announced that the two lost kids were found 1.4 miles away from their home.

He also mentioned that both Leia and Caroline had formal training in outdoor survival and that helped them to cope-up with the situation really well. They both had their boots on and also ate granola bars while they were lost.

Honsal claimed that he and his team witnessed a miracle today. The two sisters were found by the firefighters who did an excellent job of following the boot tracks of the two. The sheriff said that when two were found, both were dehydrated and cold but were luckily not injured.

Honsal was feeling very positive because of the search outcome. Carrico family couldn’t control the outburst of their emotions as the four of them had been in distress for almost 48 hours. The photos revealed show the two parents, Misty and Travis hugging their two daughters.

The California police left no stone unturned in the search for the two lost sisters. Choppers, tracking dogs, firefighters, and a handful of volunteers gave their best to find Caroline and Leia and in the end, were successful.

No leads were developed on Friday night, but Saturday turned out to be a hopeful one because the rescue personnel was able to find the two sister’s boot imprints and the wrapper of granola bars.

Both had gone for a walk on Friday and for which they took permission from their mother but didn’t return back home that day.
