This is a horrifying moment a 90-year-old grandma with dementia scaled nine floors down the outside of a building after her worried family locked her inside the apartment to keep her safe.
The incident was filmed by worried residents in the city of Chengdu, China.
After the dementia sufferer discovered she had been locked inside the flat by her family, she bravely opened the window and started climbing down the side of the apartments using only the building’s air-condition housing as a ladder!
The grandma can be seen carrying a small red canvas bag containing some of her things during her dangerous escape.
The video showed a crowd of concerned people watching as she slowly made her way down by stepping on the air-con units’ ventilation covers.
She reached the 5th-floor ledge and froze until staff inside came to her rescue.
The staff piggy-backed the granny back into the building and to the ground floor. Thankfully, she didn’t suffer any injuries during her stunt.
She was then returned to her family, who just wanted to keep her safe due to her medical condition.
