The Louisiana woman who was dubbed ‘Gorilla Glue Girl’ is now preparing to visit a plastic surgeon in a desperate bid to free her hair of superglue.

40-year-old Tessica Brown has gone viral after revealing her hair had been stuck in place for more than a month after she used glue in an attempt to set her hair.

In her viral video, Brown insisted she sprayed her hair with Gorilla Glue after running out of the hair spray she usually uses for her hairdos.

“Hey, y’all. For those of you that know me know that my hair has been like this for about a month now. It’s not by choice. No, it’s not by choice,” she previously explained.

“When I do my hair, I like to finish it off with a little Göt2b Glued Spray, you know, just to keep it in place. Well, I didn’t have any more Göt2b Glued Spray, so I used this: Gorilla Glue spray. Bad, bad, bad idea.”

After attempting to wash the glue off at least 15 times, the Instagram celebrity decided to seek medical attention. According to TMZ, healthcare workers tried to free Brown’s hair with acetone after she paid a visit to the ER. Unfortunately, however, the glue simply hardened back up after getting gooey for a moment.

Now, the 40-year-old decided to take her treatment a step further and cut off her long ponytail. She allegedly also came up with a plan to fly to Los Angeles where a plastic surgeon will attempt to dissolve the glue to free her burned scalp and her remaining hair.

“We’ve been using acetone every day trying to soften it up. It kind of feels like it may have softened up a bit, but we’re going to use this [Goof Off]. We have some on here already but I’m going to add a little more and then we’re just going to cut this whole ponytail off and try to let it breathe a little bit,” the woman’s hairstylist is heard explaining in Tessica’s new viral video.

While the pair managed to get rid of the ponytail, their technique had little effect on the hair covering Brown’s glazed scalp which now appears as hard as a rock.

“So this is kind of what it looks like now. I was able to get the ponytail off, but it’s still not opening it up as you all can see,” the hairdresser added as she showed off her client’s new hairstyle.

“It’s still kind of hardened so we’re not letting the air in too much, but there’s a little opening right there. So she might get a little bit of air out of there but not much because it’s still pretty hard.”

Following her visit to the hairstylist, the 40-year-old revealed she’s now planning on seeing Dr Michael Obeng, a plastic surgeon who believes he can remove the remaining glue using a medical-grade dissolver.

As TMZ reported, such procedures normally cost more than $12,000. Dr Obeng, however, reportedly told Brown that he would help her free of charge.
